This office of Board Certified Pediatric Cardiologists specializes only in the care of children with issues related to Pediatric Heart Disease. The age range extends from the fetus suspected of having a cardiac problem to late adolescence when a cardiac issue is suspected.

Fetal Echocardiography is a rapidly growing field dealing with the problems of structural heart disease and arrhythmias in the newborn. We are fortunate to have Dr. Elsa Castro who after a year of training at The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in this field provides an incredible level of care in consultation of course with The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

The most common diagnoses seen in this office include heart murmurs, irregular heart rhythms, chest pain, and dizzy spells.  We of course also specialize in the field of children with heart defects, including complex congenital heart defects and arrhythmias.

Most testing can be done in the office at the time of the visit so that a complete diagnosis will be known before going home. These tests would include electrocardiograms, echocardiograms (2-dimensional, M-mode, Doppler and color flow), holter monitoring, event detectors, and stress testing.

This office has been in existence since 1987 and would have to be considered one of the busiest (if not the busiest) Private Pediatric Cardiology practice in the state of New Jersey. We look forward to serving you.
