Dr. Zales has been practicing Pediatric Cardiology since 1987. He joined Dr. Alpert and his practice in 1998. He is married with four children and resides in Spring Lake. Dr. Zales is a graduate of Villanova University. He completed his general pediatric training and pediatric cardiology fellowship at the University of Minnesota Medical School. He is board‑certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology.
Dr. Zales was the Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and the Medical Director at the Pediatric Heart Transplant Program at the Northwestern University Medical School for ten years before returning to New Jersey. He was previously the Chairman of Pediatric Cardiology at the Deborah Heart and Lung Center.
Dr. Vincent Zales is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center. He has authored 40 important manuscripts in Pediatric Cardiology, and has made a number of presentations at National Pediatric Cardiology conferences. He teaches physical diagnosis to second-year medical students from Robert Wood Johnson in our office. Dr. Zales is a member of the Executive Board of the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey where he also serves as Chairman of the Professional Advisory Committee.
Dr. Zales has special interest and training in the care of infants and children with complex congenital heart disease.
In his spare-time, he enjoys Villanova basketball, gardening, and golf.
