Dr. Alpert is a Board Certified
Pediatric Cardiologist having passed certification in 1991 and having
recertified multiple times since then. He also participates in the ‘maintenance
of certification process.' with the American Board of Pediatrics. He is a
fellow of both the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of
Cardiology. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Rutgers University
Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Dr. Alpert has a special interest in acquired heart disease including sudden
death during exercise from prolonged Q.T. syndrome, hypertrophic
cardiomyopathy, and anomalous coronary arteries in addition to Kawasaki
Disease, infective endocarditis, and rheumatic fever.
Dr. Alpert has been honored the last five years as a Top Doctor by his medical
colleagues in both the NJ Monthly Magazine and Castle Connolly awards.
Dr. Vincent Zales is a Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center. He has authored 40 important manuscripts in Pediatric Cardiology, and has made a number of presentations at National Pediatric Cardiology conferences. He teaches physical diagnosis to second-year medical students from Robert Wood Johnson in our office. Dr. Zales is a member of the Executive Board of the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey where he also serves as Chairman of the Professional Advisory Committee. He was awarded with a Teacher of the Year Award from the Pediatric Residents at Jersey Shore Medical Center in 2012.
Dr. Zales has special interest and training in the care of infants and children with complex congenital heart disease. He in fact is the co-director of the Adult Congenital Heart Disease Clinic with Dr. Dawn Calderon at the Jersey Shore Medical Center.
In his spare-time, he enjoys Villanova basketball, gardening, and golf.
Dr. Umali-Pamintuan has now joined the practice she loves, effective September, 2009. Her duties will be divided between patient care in the office setting, and Pediatric Resident Education at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. Dr. Umali-Pamintuan is Board Certified in both Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology. She enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and family. Her outside interests also include music, photography, reading and movies.
Dr. Chin enjoys spending time with her husband, her son and English bulldog Penny. She also enjoys traveling, playing violin and piano. Dr. Chin is Board Certified in both Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology. Dr. Chin is fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
